Round table Host Nation Support

The 1st Regional Round Table for Host Nation Support (HNS) Focal Points was conducted on 2 February 2022. Partner countries Georgia and Moldova were actively participating in the meeting, which was set up in an online format.

During the meeting, the Partners Countries representatives presented the recent status of the HNS implementation in their countries. This served as a basis for following discussions, together with recommendations for implementation of HNS stemming from the assessment phase, presented by the Programme.  The constructive discussion focused on achieving agreement on next steps in the HNS implementation and how the PPRD East 3 team will support the Partner Countries on working methods, on next activities and frequency, as well as other aspects of the cooperation between the HNS Focal Points and the Programme expert.

The long-term objective of the Regional HSN Round Table within the PPRD East 3 is to be a platform for sharing experiences from development and implementation of HNS systems amongst the Partner Countries and the Programme, for regional cooperation in HNS and for sub-regional and bilateral/cross-border cooperation in HNS among the Partner Countries.
